pre-existing conditions be damned!

i had a check-up appointment with my neurologist this afternoon. despite having to wait well over an hour before finally being put in an examination room, i got some very very good news. remember that MRI i had back in january? remember how the results showed no change since the last time i had my brain scanned? well, dr. b. and i talked about this today and the end result is that i basically got undiagnosed! dr. b. says that he thinks it's very likely that the inflammation in my head that caused my seizures two years ago could have been some sort of weird viral fluke. i've got no other symptoms, and nothing else has happened since the initial episode. therefore, no multiple and no sclerosis. which means all signs point to emily not having MS.

sounds good to me!

and big giant thanks to krista for keeping me company in the waiting room. and for being an amazing friend!

Wonderful! fantastic, and great to hear. See... one shouldn't always be scared of sticking one's head into a giant magnetized tube.

hey -- what's up. this is really in reference to the post about taking down your blog. anyhow, you don't know me, but i'm a 1L at pitt and i saw your blogs link on michael l's blog. so, i read like half of your entire blog in the last week (what exams...) and i think you should keep it up -- damn the employers.

i don't write a blog -- contrary to the general rule that anybody who reads blogs writes one -- but i do like reading blogs. perhaps you should hear that -- i've read where you've questioned your own motivation for writing a blog. but you're a good writer. i think it's worth it. keep writing the blog. and congrats on the good news!

em,
this is soooo awesome! i didn't know that one could just get undiagnosed, but it sounds good to me.

i'm so happy that everything's turned out well for you. i'm also glad that you didn't put your entire life on hold because of the original diagnosis. think about where you'd be today if you had.
