huh. the us news and world report 2007 school rankings are out and pitt law has dropped to number 60... remember the good ol' days? when we were a top-50 school? you know, 2 years ago? will the addition of derrick bell to the pitt law faculty make a difference in next year's numbers?
who knows? it's all a crap shoot anyway... or is it?

Yeah... we got Carlos Delgado last year, and our number went _down_. Faculty rankings take a while to have an effect in USNWR. Add to that the fact that Bell will be a visiting professor...
As an anecdote, in reading Dean Crossley's comments about the rankings, I'm amused that she knows more about the rankings than I do.
