i sort of feel the same way, with the additional bonus that i have my life back. i've watched every pitch of their run, live or mostly on TiVo, and i feel like i haven't had a decent meal or a decent night's sleep in weeks.
they weren't built to win it all this year. and they certainly weren't built to win it all minus their top 2 postseason pitchers. this was inevitable.
on the other hand, at least they would have beaten detroit a couple of times, something i doubt st. louis can do. i'm all for detroit winning it all, and i'll be happy when they do, but it's gonna be as much of a snoozefest as the ALCS, guaranteed.
